Update on last post for hormone therapy

Ok all as I posted last week all is going well on my new hormone therapy however, I wanted to give you just a side note if you decide to go with a biogenetic hormone therapy and that is to watch your intake of sugar and sodium for it can bring on hot flashes and produce you to not only feel hot but to sweat and we all know we don't want that. Also remember to wear cotton clothing for it reduces your chances of getting a hot flash oh and also make sure the clothing isn't tight for that will bring them on as well. As always Peace and Blessings and we're fighting this fight together!

My month thearpy update!

Hello my fellow ladies, Just an update on what's been going on and as promised the update on the new hormone therapy. So I can't remember if I gave you all the name but it's Estradiol 1mg and things have been going well. I've even loss a few pounds for the other medication was a birth control named Microgestin 1.5/30 and it made me gain weight, retain water, develop a goiter, and made my hair shed, and I was still having hot flashes and night sweats really badly. Being on the Estradiol 1mg has stopped my night sweats completely and I have very few hot flashes: maybe two a day and I don't breakout in a cold sweat I simply become warm and a few strokes of my fan and it's over. I've lost a few lbs as I stated above and my sleep pattern is "normal" whatever that really means, I have an appointment to see if the goiter has lessen in size. However, my new specialist(She's a GYN, Oncologists) who treats Endometriosis, Ovarian and Cervical cancer, she also specializes in Menopause; told me that I can't only be on estrogen because the cells will grow and find a new playground which as you know from my previous blogs it can spread to the lungs, abdomen, and brain; therefore, I have to eventually introduce progesterone into the therapy but at a low dose. I'll be posting another update in few weeks. If you have any questions please don't hesitate and on an exciting note the Novel is approaching soon. Remember we're not in this fight alone. As always Peace and Blessings!

Update on myHormone replacement therapy

Hello again so, remember I stated in my last post that I would keep you updated on my moods, physical appearance, and hot flashes/night sweats. So, it's about a week now and I haven't taken that crazy birth control microgestin and I have had a few hot flashes that last about 1-2min, no night sweat, and I seem to have lost some weight or not being blotted or retaining water. However, my mood has been a little up and down, i.e.: One minute happy then I'll become really quite and just want to be with me and not interact with others. I will say because I'm not having the night sweats that my sleep has been better. So, in October I'll start the new hormone therapy which I've been on before and still don't understand why my dr. changed it since it's just estrogen. Ok, I'll have an update for you next week. Stay strong and remember this isn't stronger than us!

News on Harmone Thearpy

Hello ladies, I Recently went to the doctor to find out why I've gained a lot of weight, having hot flashes and massive night sweats...I mean where I wake up twice during the night to change my shirt. The Breaking News: when you don't have any of your female organs you don't need a hormone replacement that contains progesterone because it can cause weight gain and literally overpower the estrogen. So, yes I'll be changing hopefully by the next two weeks to only estrogen. It was told that women don't usually have to worry about progesterone until mid to late 50's or even older. Ladies....no progesterone in your hormone replacement, have blood work done to see if your progesterone is low, no birth control as a hormone therapy replacement it severs no purpose... I'll post a weekly journal for the first three months to tell you if I notice a difference and how I'm feeling. Ok ladies, love you and be good to you for you're your biggest cheerleader in this fight!
